As Christmas draws nearer it is that time of year that we hear Christmas songs and Sermons about Christmas. It is a great time of year —- or is it? My Sister the other day mentioned that she is going to miss our dad this year (he went home in January). So it is a time of year that will be hard for allot of people who have lost a loved one this year and there will be some tears shed for them.
A song this Sunday reminded me of the Comforter that is within us to help us get through the Sad Times and remember the Reason for the Season.
The Song is: (Lyrics Below) (Enjoy Listening)
Holy Spirit from: “Jesus Culture – Kim Walker-Smith”

I used to be one of those Scrooges when it came to Christmas and there were times that I would make it unbearable for my wife. It had become so commercialized that we had forgot the reason for the season and I wanted everyone to know that. I have to tell you that in the last 15 years I have become one who really enjoys Christmas. Now I do have to tell you that there has to be some way to get the Hall Mark Channel off of my TV. My wife and I really enjoy watching allot of the Christmas programs but I have become real sensitive in my older age and the tears will start rolling (I do blame the Holy Spirit – he is within me and allows me to really love a good Christmas show). **I have lost allot of Man points because of this – LOL.
But back to the Scrooge part of me…. It was the Holy Spirit working in my life that gave me the Joy of Christmas back into my Heart. I have realized that even though the Reason for the Season has gotten lost in the commercialization of Christmas – I am the only one who can make it a bad time of the year… With the Holy Spirit working in me – I can now enjoy the Birthday of Christ – even if my dad is not going to be here this year. The Presence of the Lord within me is the Greatest Christmas gift that I have been given.
Enjoy the Season…

There’s nothing worth more
That could ever come close
No thing can compare
You’re our living hope
Your presence, Lord
I’ve tasted and seen
Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
And my shame is undone
Your presence, Lord
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord
There’s nothing worth more
That could ever come close
No thing can compare
You’re our living hope
Your presence, Lord
I’ve tasted and seen
Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
And my shame is undone
Your presence, Lord
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord
Let us become more aware of Your presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord
